We do not sell hosting
Search Host is a comparison catalogue. You enter into a contract directly with the provider, you pay the provider, and every obligation for the service is theirs. We are neither an intermediary in the transaction nor a party to the contract.
With some providers we have an affiliate arrangement — those links are marked “Affiliate link” right under the button. The price you pay does not change because of it.
What the affiliation does not affect
- The order of plans in the catalogue. Sorting follows price, rating or votes — whichever you chose. Affiliate status plays no part in it at all.
- Provider ratings. They are calculated only from user scores, by an open formula you can check on the “How the rating works” page.
- Reviews. We do not delete negative reviews about partners, and we do not write positive ones ourselves.
- Who is in the catalogue. A provider gets listed not for money, but because it has plans our visitors would want to see.
About prices and discounts
The prices in the catalogue are the ones the provider publishes; we neither invent nor round them in our favour. Prices in foreign currency are converted to roubles at the Bank of Russia rate, and the date of that rate is shown next to the price. That is our figure for comparison — the provider will bill you in its own currency.
A discount is shown only when the provider genuinely offers it to our visitors, and the condition is always written next to it — “for the first order”, for example. We have no struck-through “old” prices that never existed.
Data can go stale
Providers change prices and terms without notice. We update the catalogue, but time passes between a change at the provider and the update here. The date of the last update is shown on every plan card, and the current price is always the one on the provider’s own site — go by that when you order.
