Website availability check
We'll open the site from our server and show whether it answers, with which code and how fast — so you know if the site is down or it's just you.
Free, no sign-up. We don't store the addresses you check.
Is the site down or is it just me?
The check runs from our server, not your computer. If the site opens for us but not for you, the problem is your internet connection, DNS or a block at your ISP. If it doesn't open for us either, the site really is down.
Response time is how long the server thinks before the first byte. Under 500 ms is good; over a second means the site is slow, and its hosting is worth a look.
Frequently asked questions
What if the site is down?
Wait a few minutes and check again. If the site is yours, see whether the domain (whois) or the certificate (SSL check) has expired, and contact your provider's support.
Why does the site respond slowly?
Not enough server resources, heavy database queries, or the provider itself is overloaded. If the site is on shared hosting, moving to a VPS often helps.
