SSD
Solid-state drive: fast and reliable, the VPS standard.
An SSD stores data in flash memory with no moving parts. It is dozens of times faster than a hard disk on random access — exactly how websites and databases work.
SSD is the VPS standard today. NVMe is faster still, and HDD is chosen when you need lots of space for backups or files and speed does not matter.
