SSH

A secure connection to the server's command line.

SSH is a way to manage a Linux server remotely through the command line. The connection is encrypted, so passwords and commands cannot be intercepted.

The safest way in is an SSH key: a password can be guessed, a key cannot. Many providers let you add a key right when ordering a VPS.
