CPU clock speed
The speed of one core in GHz. Higher means faster single-threaded work — websites, games, 1C.
Clock speed shows how many operations per second one core performs. Many tasks — PHP sites, a Minecraft server, 1C — depend on the speed of one core rather than the number of cores.
Clock speeds are only comparable within one CPU generation: a modern 3.5 GHz core is faster than an old 3.5 GHz one. Providers often write “up to X GHz” — that is the boost clock.
