Virtualization and resources

LXC

Linux containers: light and fast, but with a shared kernel and Linux only.

LXC (Linux Containers) is container virtualization, a modern relative of OpenVZ. A container starts in seconds and spends almost nothing on virtualization itself.

The limits are those of any container: Linux only, a shared kernel, some software (Docker, custom modules) may not work.
