Virtualization and resources

VPS / VDS

A virtual server: a slice of a physical server with its own cores, memory, disk and root access.

VPS (Virtual Private Server) and VDS (Virtual Dedicated Server) mean the same thing: a virtual machine on a provider's powerful physical server. It has its own cores, memory, disk and IP address, its own operating system and full administrator (root) access.

Compared with shared hosting, a VPS gives freedom: install any software, tune the server, run bots, VPNs, databases. In return you manage the server yourself — or pick a plan with free administration.

A VPS price depends on cores, memory, disk and the data center's country. It is easiest to compare identical configurations — which is how our catalog works.
